INTRODUCTION
The Statement that “The battle of Waterloo was won on the play fields of Eton” implying that playing games and the sprite of sportsmanship help to inculcate lasting values, which make for good soldiers & good fighters apart from promoting 100 percent physical fitness.
Participation in sports provides a healthy channel for diversion of energies also. Wherever students, participle in sports, misdirection of youthful vigor is much less and the tendency to indulge in indiscipline and mischief in curded. The aim of Bir Uttam Shahid Samad School is to make the students fully aware of the need for discipline, co-operative effort, team spirit, the cult of sportsmanship, of joint devotion to the achievement of a common goal in collaboration with others. It also aims to make the Students learn to cultivate the vital quality of learning how to go together, to become not only good winners but also good losers. Inter House Annual sports is the total demonstration of this effort on the part of the institution.
